This is premiering on Sunday. Ive already seen the entire series, and I can recommend this none higher. It's got a huge pedigree of talent behind it. Scorsese directed the first episode which airs Sunday, also written by Terrence Winter, who was a major player with the Sopranos. The best way to describe it is a period era (in this case, 1920s) Sopranos that takes place during prohibition in Atlantic City. Great cast (Steve Buscemi is the lead) too. So watch it and lets discuss it here  |

just popped it on, hasnt actually started but already 3 surprises:
1) the opening music.
2) this episode is directed by scorcese
3) stephen graham is in the credits so i expect some cunts going to have their face smashed in this episode.
edit: it took 5 mins for (who i assume to be under a mask) stephen graham to smash some cunts face in.

I watched it last night. I was really surprised to heard that the opening theme was a Brian Jonestown Massacre song (cool!)
I think I'm really going to like this tbh, I've always had a soft spot for Steve Buscemi (Don).

this does indeed look brilliant. met so many people travelling who are so proud and smug of the fact that they don't own a television. i don´t even know how they think that´s a good thing when you have HBO churning out brilliance all the time. tossers.

I enjoyed it but something was missing. Maybe it was the glossy look of the boardwalk. It just felt fake.
The story line could develop into something really interesting though so will keep watching without a doubt.
