Series 8 starts on Nov 25th Channel 4 10pm
"Jeremy won't exactly have made good on his promise at the end of the last series to move out ("I don't think it would quite be Peep Show if Jez ever properly moved out of the flat," Webb told us) and will instead be "making a few pathetic attempts" to go solo throughout the new episodes.
Other storylines coming up include Mark paying for Jeremy to have therapy and Jeremy becoming an irresponsible life coach."

Loved the last series. Have a feeling though it will start to go permanently downhill this series though, there's only so long they can keep this up as they get older and older surely?

I think they can keep it going as long as they want. As long as they can keep finding new scenarios for each series, I'm sure it will be consistently good.

guess i'm alone in thinking that the last series was a noticeable dip in quality? obviously it still had some great moments (christmas special was excellent, mark and jeremy locked in the house was a fantastic setup) but i thought they'd written themselves into a corner making mark a dad, and zahra was an even more boring object for jez's obsessions than elena (although her boyfriend was a top character).
still have faith they can pull out some good episodes, but it's already past its peak imo.

guess i'm alone in thinking that the last series was a noticeable dip in quality? Obviously the general trend of quality is downwards but I thought the last series was an improvement on series 6, which for me was the worst by a mile. The whole Jeremy and Elena thing in series 6 was a bit shit (even if Elena was the loveliest thing ever to grace the program).

Really, I thought it was pretty average, saved by Johnson.
The little jog/skip up to the pulpit killed me.

Really, I thought it was pretty average, saved by Johnson. The little jog/skip up to the pulpit killed me. Thought it was pretty average made all the worse by Johnson personally, he had that good episode in series 6 where he brings Mark in to his new business venture and I loved him in the New Years Eve episode but other than that he's pretty mucg been a parody of himself since series 4. Both the eulogies were too cartoonish for my tastes, really. Loved Gerrard as a character though, really brought out the best and worst of Mark, that 'Dobby club' episode last series ffs, hilarious. 'Tube up his nose, the tube is BACK. UP. HIS. NOSE.' RIP wee man Brilliant opening episode. Top 5 of all time IMO. That's a crazy shout man, it wouldn't even make the top 5 episodes of series 2!

Initially, I found last nights episode a little underwhelming.
However, as with many Peep Show episodes, upon reflecting on it, I think it was decent and I'll probably enjoy it more when I watch it through again.
I found dobby annoying this week and reckon Jez was the saving grace.
Don't think it was good as last weeks episode, but still, not awful.
