I'm both relieved and disappointed. Relieved as if he rushed into a solo record it no doubt would have been 10 Don't Brother Mes. But disappointed as he could have surprised us and at least it would have been something to talk about.

Aye, he's talking about Burchill. That Noel interview, btw, is possibily the worst I've ever read. It reads like it was written in 1997.

Burchill spends as much of that interview talking about herself as she does fawning over Dwayne. In fairness, he's quick to call her out for the nark she is.

Dreadful interview. She has a couple of very odd potshots at Liam:
"Surprisingly, he [Noel] is really good-looking — it’s as if he has grown into his looks, as surely as his younger sibling, Liam, has grown out of his"
"Liam, who once appeared to be living the dream, is now reduced to flogging mugs and bags, among other bagatelles, at his Pretty Green shops. Last month, he told a court hearing (for his messy divorce from Nicole Appleton) that currently he had “no prospect” of re-entering the music business. Talking about him to his supremely accomplished and satisfied brother — whose dream it was, and who is still living it — would have seemed like mocking the afflicted."

morrissey had a parting shot at her in his book. “Julie Burchill is, of course, not loveable, and has pitifully late middle-aged legs,” he writes. “Her naked body probably kills off marine plankton in the North Sea…Unchained from the cellar Burchill will make sure that you remember her…I shall be honored to attend her funeral, and I might even jump into the grave.”
