That link in Liam's tweet is a great read. Sums up Noel perfectly.

"There’s not much colour on his two albums; it’s just the same old Noel. He has tried to send out this message that he’s pushed himself, but it’s just the same generic stuff. We had kids’ choirs, harpsichords, mandolins. We really went to town with orchestras and all sorts of crazy instrumentation. He just needed to cut the pie to suit Noel the solo artist – we left some excess pastry on it so he could trim a bit off.
I believe ours is the album people wanted him to make – a liberated, exploratory Noel Gallagher, cutting loose from Oasis, enjoying his freedom; the Noel who name-drops our Monstrous Bubble albums and krautrock, and who had hits with the Chemical Brothers. He obviously loves that kind of music, but has no idea how to make it."
Truesay.

Yeah, but:
1. What we've heard of those sessions sounded quite boring anyway. 2. AA guy doesn't sound like a bitter whiny cunt, so fair play.

Liam should work with these guys, most of his songs are just half done ideas anyway

Settle down and accept Noel is too scared to get radical. Throw lame insults at Liam won't change anything.

That interview is great. Gaz Cobain seems like a gentleman. No surprise that Noel is a dull, tradrock flake, but always nice to have it confirmed so vociferously, since the media lap up all his practised bullshit.

Weller, on the other hand, praises Noel's records. You know, the guy that reinvents himself every three years to sound a little less exciting each time.

That AA interview comprehensively demolishes Noel, and as Baz says, his carefully-crafted media persona that seems to satisfy dull fanboys/dadrock magazines.
I can't even begin to imagine how mad Axl must be right now.

He went on another, now deleted, rant on Facebook. He took a question from Rolli He basically confirmed Noel asked him about the solo album at that gig and he felt sorry for the rest of the band. He said the rest of the band were a lot more open minded and he was excited about working with him. Said nice things about Liam as well after someone alluding to him being a thick twat (Noel's rhetoric). He basically ripped Noel to shit again as well. One of the main points was Noel status in the press and his ability to recycle the same constant message (their work was shit) rather than the reality which was Noel struggled to move outside of trad rock. Said Noel ruined their version of The Mexican
