People are expecting it to be shite but then probably forget he wrote his first album track 17 years ago, not in the past six months. He should have enough ideas and material to make a worthy record. And if it does bomb he could always play See The Sun and Take Me with Bonehead on stage, fucking why not!

He's playing his first gig in a month with no new tunes out - weird. I'd rather not hear them live first. Unless he's just gonna play Oasis songs?  Also no mention of his backing band, album details, single announcement, website, nowt, and he kicks off in UNDER a month. Bizarre. |

The campaign (or lack of) could be pretty cool... if the music is strong. But I prefer it this way, lowkey until we actually have the songs to judge instead of a lot of noise which could be harder to beat. Hopefully we won't get song descriptions before hearing them, they always let me down.

The site only looks half done plus wasn't even announced as being launched, I think some fan just tried the address and it worked. Unless that's the whole point. The lack of promotion is also pretty cool, I agree, but just find it weird that's he gonna be playing new songs live without the record out - surely he won't release a single and album in the space of a month? Although given he's only doing festivals, maybe it's just about getting his name back out there. Either way he's gonna be playing record tracks without the record being out or not playing new songs at all! Imo. |
