Really enjoyed the Parsnip record from Friday. Slightly indie pop, slightly garage rock and a bit of 60s psych.
Can't wait for Kamasi Washington this week. I expect nothing less than an album of the year contender based on the tracks he's released so far.

So the Spotify list seems to have dried up of late. Anyone got any new tunes to add or has the sheer power of SJ posting the entire LG/Squire album short circuited it?

Big day tomorrow. Really excited for both Jessica Pratt and Kamasi Washington. Loved all the tracks released so far from both of them.
Sad to say I don't feel the same about the new Camera Obscura tracks. Will give the record a go but not hopeful.

Are DEHD any good?
Dehd: "Poetry" - "For fans of classy garage rock, The Strokes, a happy and upbeat Velvet Underground, The Jesus and Mary Chain without the fuzz but with all the hooks and Weezer" say Rough Trade.

Michael Head's new one sounded great on first listen, he's really been in form the past 5 years or so. Ajate's new record is excellent. They mix Japanese sounds with Afrobeat, this might be even better than their previous record. And of course, like a cunt I've waited for Albini to die before ever listening to Shellac Pretty cool record on first impressions.
